Ohio State landed the fourth commitment of their 2011 recruiting class when Shaker Heights (OH) offensive lineman made his pledge on Monday. Underwood, 6-foot-3, 300-pounds, became the second lineman to commit today, the other being Chris Carter, Cleveland JFK.

"I went to Ohio State today with my grandfather, and I received my offer from (head coach) Jim Tressel," Underwood stated. "We got there around 10:00 AM, and we viewed the facility and toured the campus. Then we sat with (offensive line coach) Jim Bollman, and met with him for about 20 minutes."

"Then they took us into Coach Tressel's office, and he told us I had the offer," he continued. "My grandfather got kind of emotional, and asked Coach Tressel if we could step out into the hallway. My grandfather said if Ohio State is the right place for me, that I should get back in that room and shake the man's hand, and tell him I would accept it. That's exactly what I did."

Underwood, who trains with former Ohio State star LeCharles Bentley, was told he is being recruited as an offensive guard or center by the Buckeye staff.
