Ohio State got
great news when super linebacker Jamel
Turner made his commitment to the Buckeyes.
Turner became the second member of Ohio
State’s class of 2010 when he pledged his
services to the Scarlet and Gray.
Turner is considered the best prospect in
the state for his class, and has the
potential to be an impact player at the
college level. In the end, it wasn't really
even a tough decision for Turner.
Turner, who made 23 sacks as a sophomore,
visited Ohio State to see the Buckeyes
battle then-No. 3 Penn State on Oct. 25. He
was named to Scout’s All-Ohio Championship
team for this year’s state championships as
Ursuline won the state title. Turner had 10
tackles and 1.5 sacks in the game against
Findlay Liberty-Benton.
He chose OSU over Illinois, Michigan,
Michigan State, Nebraska, Notre Dame,
Stanford, South Carolina and Wisconsin.
