Four-star wide receiver prospect Corey Brown has issued a verbal commitment to Ohio State.
When Ohio State picked up the four-star wide receiver they grabbed a player that will bring a versatile playmaker to their offense. With Terrelle Pryor in the backfield and Brown moving all over the place, the Buckeyes will have a very dangerous tandem. The 5-11, 180-pound athlete was in attendance for OSU's home game against USC. He had previously narrowed his list to five schools: OSU, Miami (Fla.), Pittsburgh, Rutgers and West Virginia. Scout.com ranks the standout from Springfield (Pa.) Cardinal O'Hara as the No. 19 wide receiver in the country and the No. 94 prospect in the country regardless of position. Injuries limited him to three games as a junior but he recorded around 600 rushing yards and 13 touchdowns. He has been timed at 4.45 seconds in the 40-yard dash. The Buckeyes have been recruiting him as an athlete. Wide receivers coach Darrell Hazell was his primary recruiter for OSU. He will become the second player named Corey Brown on the OSU roster, joining the Monroeville (Pa.) Gateway defensive back in Columbus.
