Mountaineer Hospitality

Oh, poor Michigan... I
just feel awful that this has happened.

You may have noticed a lull in the site updates recently...
and for good reason. We just returned from a trip down
south. After looking at the map, we noticed how close
we were going to be to Boone, NC.
Never one to miss out on a photo opportunity (at the expense
of our "friends" up north of course) we made a calculated
detour over to Boone to visit with our new friends at
Appalachian State University... and had the time of our
lives.
Appalachian State University is a gorgeous campus with
amazing academic and athletic facilities nestled in
the Blue Ridge Mountains of northwestern North Carolina.
Decked out in our OSU gear we set out to take some photos
on campus. It was pretty evident that we stuck out like
a sore thumb amid the sea of black and gold.
We were immediately welcomed in with open arms and given a
complete tour of the Mountaineer's facilities. We had the
opportunity to meet Coach Moore (a good friend of Jim Tressel by the way) as well as some of the Mountaineer
players and staff.
From the scenic town of Boone, to the picturesque campus, to
the first class facilities, to the awesome people that work
at and attend the university... Appalachian State is
definitely a great place to visit and spend some time.
John, thanks so much for your hospitality. You guys
are awesome and definitely get a Buckeye leaf for all your
efforts! Go Mountaineers!
